JAMESTOWN — The James Prendergast Library Board of Trustees will meet at 12:15 p.m. today (Thursday) in the Fireplace Room of Prendergast Library at 509 Cherry Street, Jamestown. The meeting will consist of changes or additions to the agenda, approval of minutes of the previous meeting, the treasurer’s report with approval of bills, the director’s report including correspondence and public comment followed by unfinished business and new business.
Specific Details of what policies and issues would be discussed and/or acted on during the meeting were not included in the agenda provided to the public or sent out to the media. However, WRFA has learned a group of residents will present a petition to the library board, asking that members consider passing an anti-bullying in the workplace policy, geared at protecting employees from bullying or harassment by an immediate supervisor or director. The petition is said to have more than 400 signatures.
Today’s meeting begins at 12:15 p.m. and the public is welcome to attend.
