Stateline Speedway to Reopen in July Under New Ownership

May 14, 2014 By WRFA Radio 1 Comment

Racing will resume at State Line Speedway in Busti starting in July.

On Tuesday officials with Short Track Management, LLC announced that they had reached an agreement to purchase Stateline Speedway for an undisclosed amount. They will also operate the one-third mile dirt track beginning in July and continuing through the month of October. STM has also executed a Letter of Intent to buy the facility, which is expected to close during the 3rd quarter of 2014.

As part of the announcement, STM officials say they plan an 18 month-long renovation plan that will begin this week and will continue through the 2015 racing season.

Short Track Management is operated by Bill Catania Jr. – a native of Westfield NY and a short track racer. The race track is currently owned by Seamen’s Speedway, Inc.
