United Way Encourages Residents to Donate During 24-Hour ‘Give-A-Thon’

March 20, 2014 By WRFA Radio Leave a Comment

UnitedWayLogo-FeatureJAMESTOWN – The United Way of Southern Chautauqua County and several of its partner agencies will be taking part in a 24 hour Give-A-Thon starting at 8 a.m. on this morning and ending at 8 a.m. on Friday, March 21.

The online fundraising event is called, Spring It On, and individuals can donate to the organization of their choice by visiting www.uwayscc.org, and clicking on Spring It On.

According to United Way Executive Director Tory Irgang, this is an easy way for people who don’t normally contribute to organizations to do so in a quick, easy, and safe manner. She said there are several agency partners who’ve created pages that people can donate to as well.

Spring It On is done in conjunction with Buffalo/Niagara’s Day of Giving, and includes not-for-profits in Erie, Niagara, Orleans, Cattaraugus, Chautauqua, and Allegany Counties.

For more information about Spring It On, or how to donate to the organization of your choice, please contact United Way of Southern Chautauqua County at 483-1561, or visit www.uwayscc.org.
