CARROLL – A Warren man faces a charge of Driving While Intoxicated after being involved in an accident Friday Night in the town of Carroll.
Chautauqua County Sheriff Deputies say they received a report of a motor vehicle off the side of the road on Riverside Rd. just after 7 p.m., with the driver unconscious behind the wheel.
The driver was identified as 47 year-old Eric Olson of Warren. Further investigation alleges that Olson was operating the vehicle while impaired by the use of drugs and alcohol. Olson was transported to WCA hospital for treatment. A record check also showed that Olson’s driving privileges were suspended in NYS. Olson was charged with Aggravated unlicensed operation 2nd and DWAI by the combination of drugs and alcohol. He will appear in the Town of Carroll at a later date.
