August 23, 2016 By WRFA Radio Leave a Comment

Jamestown Police BadgeJAMESTOWN – A Kennedy man was arrested over the weekend after leading police on a high speed chase through the city.

Jamestown Police say 35 year-old Mathew Haskins was allegedly speeding down E. 2nd St. in the city shortly before 2 a.m. Sunday.

When officers attempted to stop the vehicle, Haskins allegedly failed to stop and instead continued at a high rate of speed down Crescent St. and eventually crashing near a storage vehicle on River Street. He then allegedly left the vehicle and hid from officers but was eventually located.

Haskins was then arrested on several related charges and sent to the city jail to await arraignment.
