‘Best Tasting Water’ Contest to Be Held at Chautauqua Mall on May 17

May 16, 2014 By WRFA Radio Leave a Comment

LAKEWOOD – Who will earn the title of “Best Tasting Drinking Water” in Chautauqua County for 2014?  This will be decided on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Chautauqua Mall in Lakewood when waters from municipal drinking water systems in the county will be available for the public to taste and vote for which one they like best.

The contest is co-sponsored by the Chautauqua County Department of Health and Human Services, the Water Works Association and the Water Quality Task Force.  This year’s participants include the villages of Brocton, Fredonia, Mayville and Sherman; the City of Jamestown, and the hamlet of Frewsburg.  The public is encouraged to stop by the Chautauqua Mall Saturday to sample each water and cast a vote for the “best tasting water” in Chautauqua County.

Ronny Raindrop also will be on hand to pass out balloons and add to the festive atmosphere.

For more information on drinking water or any other services of the Chautauqua County Department of Health and Human Services, Public Health Division, please call 1-866-604-6789 or visit www.co.chautauqua.ny.us.
