Chautauqua County Fair Begins Monday July 25

July 25, 2016 By WRFA Radio Leave a Comment

Chaut County FairDUNKIRK – The Chautauqua County Fair begins Monday in Dunkirk. The week-long event will feature a midway of games and performances, amusement rides, a wide variety of food, and daily grandstand events.

The fair will showcase some of the many projects Chautauqua County 4-H members have been working on throughout the year as visitors can stop by the animal barns, see animal shows in the Warren K. Brown, Small Animal or Horse Show arenas, or participate in the Meat Animal Sale. There will also be events at the grandstand such as the demolition derby, stagecoach outriders show, aerial arts, and ATV show.

Visitors will also have the opportunity to visit the fair museum, and explore vendor and informational booths in Floral Hall and the Commercial Building.

“The County Fair is truly an American summertime tradition,” said Chautauqua County executive Vince Horrigan during his Monday Morning Memo.  “I encourage young and old to enjoy this family fun entertainment. I congratulate the organizers and sponsors who work so hard to put on our great Chautauqua County Fair.”

The fair open at 9 a.m. daily. Midway rides are open today through Thursday from 3 to 11 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 1 to 11 p.m. The final day of the fair is Sunday from 1 to 10 p.m.
