City Council to Act on JLDC Loan Amendment, JCC Property Sale, Police Station Renovation Work Monday

February 26, 2018 By WRFA Radio Leave a Comment

JAMESTOWN – The Jamestown City Council will hold its monthly voting session Monday night at city hall.

  • VIEW VOTING AGENDA

Among the items on the agenda are three resolutions dealing with the ongoing renovations to the Jamestown Police Department.

The council will also act on approving the sale of a piece of property owned by Jamestown Community College. The property is a residential home located at 2835 Curtis Street Extension, and would involve a sale price of no less than $300,000. Because the city is one of the three hosting municipalities for the college, it must sign off on the resolution before the property can be put on the market.

Also on the agenda under new business is a resolution approving amended terms of certain loans from the Jamestown Local Development Corporation. However, no other details into what the loan or loans involve have been publicly posted.

The city council meeting begins at 7:30 p.m. in city hall in the council chambers and is open to the public. A public comment portion will be provided to anyone wishing to address their city representatives.  A work session will also take place at 7 p.m. prior to the meeting on the 4th floor of city hall in the Mayor’s conference room. That meeting is also open to the public.
