Cuomo Leads By Two-to-One Margin Over Potential GOP Challengers in Latest Poll

February 13, 2014 By WRFA Radio Leave a Comment

NY Governor Andrew Cuomo

NY Governor Andrew Cuomo

ALBANY – Governor Andrew Cuomo is the choice of 63 percent of voters whose only other option is Donald Trump. The real estate magnate garnered only 26 percent of respondents to a new Quinnipiac University poll.

Cuomo gets the same percentage against Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino, but Astorino only gets to 24 percent.

Quinnipiac says Cuomo has a 63 to 28 percent job approval rating, higher than the current scores for any governor in the nine states surveyed.

According to another poll, respondents give the State Legislature a collective negative 28 to 57 percent job approval rating, but say 46 to 25 percent that their Assembly member deserves reelection and 54 to 28 percent that their senator deserves to be returned to Albany.
