Jamestown Woman Accused of Welfare Fraud Totaling Nearly $10,000

August 21, 2015 By WRFA Radio 1 Comment

Chautauqua County Sheriff

MAYVILLE – A Jamestown woman faces welfare fraud charges for allegedly accepting more than $9,700 in benefits she was not entitled to.

The Chautauqua County Sheriff Office says 38 year-old July Stutzman has been charged with 10 felonies in connection to the welfare fraud investigation. The investigation revealed that Stutzman allegedly received the benefits during a 30-month period between January 1, 2011 and June 30, 2013. During that time she allegedly filed eight separate false applications with social services which failed to report that the father of one of her children was living in the household.

As a result, Stutzman received an average of $325 per month in benefits she wasn’t entitled to during a two-and-a-half year period.

Stutzman will answer the charges in the City of Jamestown Court at a later date.

This why hard working people get turn down and they have to make a choice to have a place to live or make sure their children eat, so they make sure their child or children eat and live in a shelter.
very sad that some can cheat the systems and not care what they are taking form others and thire children.
