Police Ask for Public’s Help in Investigation of ‘Brutal’ Assault near Brooklyn Square

Jamestown Police BadgeJAMESTOWN – Investigators from the Jamestown Police Department are requesting assistance from the public for any information that they may have regarding an assault that occurred on a makeshift pathway that runs between Institute St and N. Main Street along the Chadakoin River.

The male victim reported that early Monday morning (5-16-16) at about 2:27 am he was brutally assaulted as he walked on this pathway by two men. For investigative purposes the specific details on the assault are not be released. However, given the brutal nature of this crime, investigators do believe that the suspect(s) may have disclosed their crime to others since the incident and are asking anyone who may have information on this assault to contact them.

Information can be telephoned in anonymously to the tips line at 483-Tips (8477) or to the JPD at 483-7537. All calls will be kept strictly confidential.

    It don’t matter what time it happened or where it did the point is it happened now they need help finding these guys stop talking crap its not anyone’s business why he was out that late we shouldn’t have to worry bout things like this in our town this town for sure isn’t safe anymore
