Two Area Men Charged Following Heroin Investigation

November 22, 2016 By WRFA Radio 1 Comment

Jamestown Police BadgeJAMESTOWN – Two men were arrested Monday afternoon during a traffic stop in I-86 that authorities say was the culmination of an investigation into the sales and trafficking of heroin in the Jamestown area.

Jamestown Police Captain Robert Samuelson says 35 year-old Adam Turney of Jamestown and 29 year-old Dakotah Kaltenbach of Steamburg were arrested just after 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 21 during a stop on I-86 in the town of Ellicott.

According to Samuelson, during the traffic stop investigators located a quantity of heroin and hypodermic needles inside the vehicle. A two-year old child was also in the vehicle.

Turney was charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Child and Kaltenbach was charged with 3rd degree Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance and Criminal Possession of a hypodermic instrument. Both, were arraigned in the Town of Ellicott Court and sent to the county jail.

Anyone who may have information on the sales and trafficking of illegal narcotics in the Jamestown area is asked to call the Jamestown Metro Drug Task Force anonymous Tip line at 483-Tips (8477). Tips can also be made via the Department’s new 411 app or via the Jamestown Police Department’s Facebook Page.
