GERRY – The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s office says no children were hurt yesterday morning during an accident in Gerry involving a Cassadaga valley School Bus.
Sheriff deputies say seven children were on the bus around 8 a.m. when the accident occurred at the intersection of Route 60 and Wilson Road. Police say the accident took place when 19 year old Danna Neureuther of Orchard Park was traveling on Rout 60 and rear-ended a third vehicle, operated by a 29-year-old Fredonia man. The impact forced the third vehicle into the bus.
Investigators say the Fredonia driver complained of shoulder pain and was treated at the scene. No other injuries were reported. The bus received minor damage and Neureuther was charged for following too closely. Deputies say additional charges are also pending.
