JAMESTOWN – City police are continuing their investigation into a reported shooting incident that took place Friday afternoon.
Police say no one was injured when shots were reportedly fired around 2 p.m. near the intersection of W. Eighth and Cherry Streets on Friday.
They say the shooting incident began when an altercation took place. During the fight two people reportedly pulled out guns with one firing toward a nearby home.
Afterward the shooter ran north on Cherry Street toward Ninth Street.
Police say that no one has been willing to give details or identify the suspects involved. Anyone with information can call the city police at 483-TIPS (8477) or through the Tips 411 cellphone app.
