DUNKIRK – The Chautauqua County IDA recently approved a loan of more than $425,000 to assist a north county manufacturing company with the purchase of new equipment.

Rem-tronics in Dunkirk has plans to upgrade its facilities with new equipment and expand their services and applied for a low-interest loan from the IDA. Earlier this summer, the IDA approved $352,500 machinery and equipment financing and $75,000 working capital financing for Rem-tronics, through the AL Tech and Chautauqua Revolving Loan Funds.

Rem-tronics serves a wide-array of industries, including aerospace, space, medical, and military industries. Manufactured products include electromagnetic, electromechanical, and solenoid coils, cables, harnesses, fiber optic assemblies and plastic molded components.

Implementation of new equipment and processes is expected by year end 2016.
