JAMESTOWN – On Monday, October 22, the Chautauqua County League of Women Voters and the Jamestown Chapter of the American Association of University Women held a Meet the Candidates forum and debate at the James Prendergast Library in Jamestown. The forum featured the two candidates for State Assembly, incumbent Andy Goodell (R-Jamestown) who is seeking a second two-year term in that office, and challenger Dr. Rudy Mueller (D-Lakewood).
Also in attendance were the two candidates for County Court Judge – currently sitting Judge John Ward, who is seeking his third, 10-year term, and challenger William Coughlin.
Audio from the debate will be made available tonight on WRFAs’ Community Matters, we will feature the majority of the debate between Goodell and Mueller, and a portion of the debate between Judge Ward and Coughlin. The program airs at 6 p.m.
